At Crawley's Country Beef, LLC we now are raising pork. Not just any market breed ,but a Heritage breed known for excellent marbling, texture, and flavor. Our Old English Berkshire feeder pigs come from a strong bloodline going way back. This breed was once produced for royalty consumption. This breed likes to forage and root and makes it a good choice for our farm practices. The pigs do not receive vaccinations. They forage the same grasses as our other herd animals. We are working on how to rotate these pigs safely and effectively to build soil health and allow the pig to live a more natural way of life, while producing quality flavorful meat. They do receive a non soy and non GMO natural swine feed, and always have access to clean water, and shade. Be on the lookout for our first process.
